– I will open my story with an anecdote. My anecdote will be about my experience watching the show Luciferand then being introduced to shows and movies that deal with crime and evil. – The investigative question I will ask is: why are we intrigued with “bad” or evil? – I think the “conventional wisdom” my story will be challenging is that we should not focus on evil but rather what is good.
I want to write about this because I want to know why we have this fascination with evil.
I want to learn the different reasons why we have an interest with this subject.
I think the “bigger picture” idea for this story is curiosity.
The type of feature story this will be is a trend story. I think it is a trend story because these shows are very popular right now and a lot of people are interested in this.
For this feature story, I would think that my intended audience is teenagers and young adults from the ages of 16-28.
The purpose of my article is to offer an explanation as to why people are curious about this specific subject.
My feature story is going to be about the curiosity society has with evil, especially when it comes to television shows. In today’s society, there are many television shows that deal with the theme of murderers, sociopaths, lucifer, and so on. These shows are some of the most popular shows on television or Netflix and a lot of people love them. I’ll talk about some of the series or shows and what they are about. In this article, I want to try to find out why everyone is so interested in this, why we have such an intrigue when it comes to this. Although I am in general social science, I will most likely be approaching this subject with a psychological perspective. I will talk about the psychology behind our though process of choosing these shows. I will also see why we decide to gravitate towards these shows dealing with these subjects. I am not sure that I have the right conventional wisdom but I feel that this feature article will try to show that it is ok for someone to want to try to understand evil because it is part of our world.
